As Ashlyn and Matty played Scrabble in a foreign setting, Aedin lit a cozy little fire and sat down to read a book in the lodge. Because no matter what country she's in, books will still be more fascinating.
She was hearing a LOT of cheering and excitement, and it turns out it was this guy who finds one-sided chess TOTALLY AMAZING.
Ashlyn got completely worn out from all the Scrabble and fell right asleep. Then this creeper showed up.
She probably would have stuck around all night, except at that moment the lodge caught on fire.

Fortunately, Chess Guy was feeling pretty brave and put the fire out while the actual firefighter was too busy trying to figure out which room the fire was in.

Somehow he managed to figure out that Matty and Ashlyn had had sex just by watching them sleep, so a scandal started about Matty having sex in "public". Because apparently having sex behind closed doors in a vacation lodge is "public". Who knew.
They decided it would probably be best to leave before anyone could show up to throw them out, but not before Aedin played a farewell gig for the adventurers.
